Tickets are £10 and can be bought directly from Firestorm or by sending a cheque here.  Ticket price includes admission, lunch and snacks and a chance to win prizes! 

Wales Open is registered with the Impetus World League and Impetus UK Championship - results count for both.

All entries and entry fees to be submitted by February 28th.  Firestorm will open at 9am on the day of the tournament.  Registration will be from 9am to 9:30am with placing of terrain for first round commencing at 9:45am.  1st round games to start 10am (details of draw below)

Armies to be 300 points (28mm) taken from rulebook, Extra publications and approved Beta lists currently on Impetus website.

Additional 2012 tournament rules for Army lists

1- Rear elements of large 'C' Class units pay full price (no 25% discount)

2- Must have at least 50% of minimums given for troop types AND at most 50% of MAXIMUM allowed for a troop type.

3- Allow up to 10 points of your army list for "intelligence".  Each point gives +1 to the roll of 2d6 at the start of the game.  The player with the higher score has the choice of being attacker or defender.  (Number of cavalry units in an army no longer applies.)

Terrain

1 Standard terrain rules apply as per rulebook - basically defender places 1-4 pieces and attacker gets to move or remove one. No more than 50% of same type.  If defender only places 1 piece, attacker can also place an additional piece of his choice.

1 large and 1 medium sized piece of each type of terrain will be supplied for each table, plus the option to use a river (as per the rules.) 

Placing of terrain will take place in the 15 minute slot allocated before each round commences.  Players can also use this time for deployement but NOT to start the first turn.
